Terms + Conditions
1. Introduction
ClearMind | Home Task Support Service provides practical services specifically designed to support neurodivergent individuals in maintaining a manageable living space. By booking our services, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Services
ClearMind | Home Task Support Service offers personalised support tailored to the needs of neurodivergent clients. Services include organising, decluttering, tidying, small cleaning tasks, administrative support, and other household assistance.
We do not offer general cleaning, deep cleaning, end-of-tenancy cleaning, cleaning in preparation for subletting, commercial or landlord cleaning, or large one-off cleaning blitzes.
3. Scope, Boundaries, and Client Conduct
This section outlines what we provide and the expectations for working together:
Scope of Support: Our services provide practical, person-centred assistance for home tasks. We facilitate organising, decluttering, tidying, and small cleaning or administrative tasks. However, we are not licensed mental health professionals or medical practitioners. Any guidance provided is based on experience and organisational strategies, not therapy or medical advice.
Communication: We encourage open, honest communication and unmasking where comfortable, as this leads to the most effective support. We are experienced in neurodivergent communication styles and tone and offer flexibility to accommodate different needs. However, we will not tolerate targeted anger, frustration, or disrespect toward our staff. We reserve the right to immediately refuse or terminate services if a client’s behaviour breaches these boundaries.
4. Booking and Scheduling
Sessions can be booked via email, WhatsApp, or our website’s contact form.
Bookings are confirmed only once a confirmation email has been sent.
Clients are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to their property on the scheduled service date.
5. Pricing and Payment
Services are priced at £25 per hour (plus parking if applicable).
Payment is accepted by bank transfer (24 hours before the appointment) or by cash or card on the day. Card payments are made via physical or digital contactless methods and incur a £0.50 charge due to third-party fees.
Payment is due upon completion unless pre-paid by bank transfer.
If a session is ended early due to disrespectful, aggressive, or unsafe behaviour, no refund will be provided for the remainder of that session.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
Cancellations or rescheduling made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
In the case of emergencies, clients should contact us as soon as possible to discuss alternative arrangements.
7. Customer Satisfaction and Complaints
At the end of each session, we will check in to ensure everything is satisfactory and ask whether any tasks, changes, or arrangements may be unsettling or distressing between sessions, and whether anything needs addressing before we leave.
Clients have 24 hours to communicate any dissatisfaction with the service, and we will make reasonable efforts to resolve any issues raised.
If no concerns are raised within this 24-hour period, the session will be deemed complete and satisfactory.
8. Privay and Confidentiality
ClearMind | Home Task Support Service respects client privacy and is committed to protecting personal information. Information will not be shared with third parties without consent.
For staff safety, a designated safe person will have access to daily appointment schedules, including client names and addresses. This information is kept confidential and handled in line with GDPR.
Before-and-after photos may be taken for insurance or progress-tracking purposes. These will be stored securely, anonymised using client ID numbers, and accessed only by authorised team members. Images will never be shared publicly.
9. Hazardous Materials and Safety
We are not trained, licensed, or equipped to handle hazardous or biohazardous materials. This includes (but is not limited to) blood, bodily fluids, needles, animal waste (rat/mice droppings), or any material posing a health risk.
Small areas of surface mould commonly found in bathrooms (e.g., tiles, grout, sealant) may be cleaned. Significant, recurring, or widespread mould requires specialist treatment.
We reserve the right to pause or refuse work if hazardous materials or unsafe conditions are present. Clients are responsible for arranging appropriate specialist services before work can continue.
Where attendance has taken place, but work cannot proceed due to hazards, a call-out charge may still apply.
If we identify or draw attention to any unsafe conditions within the property (including structural issues, electrical hazards, faulty furniture, excessive mould, or other environmental risks), responsibility for addressing, repairing, or reporting these issues rests with the client or property owner/landlord. We do not carry out repairs, report issues to landlords, or assume responsibility for resolving property safety concerns.
10. Liability
ClearMind | Home Task Support Service is insured for public liability. We provide non-clinical, practical support only and are not responsible for psychological, medical, or therapeutic outcomes.
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate home, contents, and personal support arrangements in place to manage any physical or emotional risks during or between sessions.
While care is taken around belongings, we are not professional valuers and cannot identify rare or high-value items. Clients are responsible for obtaining valuations for insurance, resale, or disposal purposes.
11. Amendments
ClearMind | Home Task Support Service reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
